Germantown Family Fourth Schedule

Lions Club Fishing Rodeo
Children, ages 4 to 15 years old, can kick off the holiday weekend with Germantown Lions Club and Germantown Parks and Recreation Department. Try to reel in the big one. Bring rod, tackle and bait to Municipal Park Lake Wednesday, July 4, from 9 to 11 a.m. The suggested minimal donation is $2. Proceeds benefit the charitable work of the Lions Club. Fireworks Extravaganza
Outstanding musical entertainment and free games, moon bounces, train rides and crafts provide the early evening fun, followed by a fabulous fireworks display. The free event is Wednesday, July 4, at Municipal Park on Exeter Road. Activities begin at 5 p.m. with fireworks at 9:10 p.m. In the event of inclement weather, call 751-KNOW (5669) for event status. Concessions will be available for purchase. For more information call the Germantown Parks and Recreation office at (901) 757-7375.

Road Closures
Several roads will be closed in connection with Fourth of July activities at Municipal Park. On July 4, Exeter Road, from Farmington Boulevard to Neshoba Road, will close at 2 p.m. Farmington Boulevard, from Germantown Road to Exeter Road, will close at 5 p.m.

Holiday Closings and Collections
City offices, Germantown Community Library and Germantown Athletic Club will be closed Wednesday, July 4. The holiday garbage schedule will be in effect. All trash, yard debris and recyclables collections will be delayed by one day for the remainder of the week. Call 751-7603 with questions.
